Advice from Brendan
"My biggest advice for students interested in research is to not be intimidated! Research is a learning process, and the professors at Rice understand that you may not have experience, but they are willing to guide you and teach you the necessary steps so that you can be a successful and bright researcher that contributes meaningfully."

Research Areas

As an aspiring sociologist, I'm particularly interested in analyzing society's greatest problems from a multitude of disciplines in the social sciences. I am particularly interested in international migration, gender & sexuality, work & occupations, and Latin America as a region.
