Proposal of Experiential Inquiry and Research as the 2016 QEP (pdf no longer available)
With input from faculty and student, Rice selected Undergraduate Experiential Inquiry and Research as its quality enhancement plan. This plan engages students deeply and meaningfully throughout their course of study.
A survey of instructors revealed that opportunities for inquiry exist within the curriculum for many programs; however, a need was identified for experiences that prepare students for inquiry integrated throughout a curriculum.
Following the initial call for proposals, seven departments were selected to receive funds to integrate inquiry-based learning.
