SURF Mentoring

Potential skills gained: general topic areas in which I am willing to mentor an undergraduate: German history; history of modern empires (1492-present); gender history; history of human rights institutions and activism

Required qualifications: I am happy to work with students on projects and topics that they define (as long as those are in general areas of my expertise). I do not require students to have any skills. However, students should be aware that writing is my strong point. I can't help with skills for effective social media, GIS mapping, video and audio production, Omeka/ museum exhibit software, etc.
