Research Areas

My research interests are in the intersection of computational imaging and machine learning. Currently, my research goal is to build a privacy-preserving inferential sensor (or camera): a sensor that can perform inferential tasks (such as face detection, gesture recognition, etc.) without leaking secure information (such as identity or the image itself). This will allow us to benefit from the treasures of computer vision without compromising privacy.
