SURF Mentoring

Potential projects/topics: Science Philosophy from a Statistical Perspective: The main topics of this project will be p-values and statistical significance. The student should gain an idea of the wide variety of applications of Statistics in many other branches of Science.

An introduction to statistical learning: The focus of this project would be to learn about the basics of statistical learning.

Required qualifications: Mathematical skills are strongly recommended. Therefore people from careers with mathematics as a foundation will be the most suited for these projects.
