Through her present supervision of Rice’s Center for Civic Leadership (CCL) and Office of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry (OURI) and her former roles as Director of Fellowships and Undergraduate Research and Assistant Professor of Art History, she has amassed nearly twenty years of experience in the design and implementation of high-impact practices and faculty development initiatives that advance equity on campus and in Rice’s engagement with external communities.

Dr. Quenemoen has launched and supervised at Rice a number of highly consequential programs aimed especially at students from FGLI and URM backgrounds and restructured campus policies and practices to address systemic barriers to full participation. Her recent leadership of the university’s Quality Enhancement Plan resulted in twenty departments expanding access to undergraduate research by scaffolding inquiry in the curriculum.

She earned a Ph.D in Classical Archaeology from Yale University and a B.A. in Classical Archaeology from Dartmouth College.
