Bryan Washington is the author of Lot (Riverhead) and the forthcoming Memorial (Riverhead). He has written for The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, The New York Times Style Magazine, BuzzFeed, the BBC, Vulture, Oxford American, The Paris Review, Boston Review, Tin House, One Story, Bon Appétit, MUNCHIES, American Short Fiction, GQ, FADER, The Awl, The Believer, Hazlitt, and Catapult. He is a recipient of the International Dylan Thomas Prize, a Lambda Literary Award, a National Book Foundation 5 Under 35 recipient, a recipient of the New York Public Library's Young Lions Fiction Award, a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle's John Leonard Prize, a finalist for the PEN/Robert W. Bingham award, and the winner of an O. Henry Award.
