SURF Mentoring

Potential projects/topics: My proposed project entails studio work on upcoming art exhibitions I have in 2025 and 2026. This would would entail physical work in the studio - cutting paper, painting, sanding and other basic studio tasks along with related research projects and some web based work. I would of course demo all studio tasks ahead but some kind of studio art making experience ahead is required.

Potential skills gained: You will leave with practice in basic wood shop skills, some painting and paper cutting experience as well as experience doing art-related administrative tasks.

Required qualifications or skills: Really this project should be limited to students ideally who are Art or Architecture majors. If none are available, I could possibly mentor a student who has taken at least 2 Art classes but I would need to meet with them first.

Direct mentor: Faculty/P.I., Other Research Associate
