Diverse Outputs in Graphic Studies (DOGS) Lab
Team Advisor/PI
Project Description/ Research Team Goals
By working to understand traditional techniques like lithography and linoleum block printing alongside more experimental processes, our team works to preserve historical craft printmaking while advancing contemporary innovation in the production of the graphic multiple. Students begin by taking either ARTS 384: Text and Image or ART S311: Printmaking. The students will work closely with Profs. Sperandio and Masterson to develop their acuity with various media, in the context of participating as a team in the production of new printed works by visiting artists. Upcoming plans include work study for eligible students and an ongoing variable lab credit via ARTS 450 - Special Problems in Printmaking.
